Joseph Palumbo

Mr. Palumbo’s career spans more than 30 years, which is evenly split between the corporate and academic world. He is the former Head of Career & Professional Development for MBAs for HKUST, (Asia’s #1 business school) and The Schulich School of Business, York University (Top 20 Globally). He started his career with General Motors, Nissan and CPA Ontario.

He is passionate about maximizing the management and leadership potential in his clients and in engaging professionals in small and large group training and facilitation sessions. He has designed and delivered everything from one-hour keynotes, multi-day workshops, on-boarding programs to one-week leadership programs on four continents. He has taught classes at the MBA and Undergraduate level in Marketing, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.

Mr. Palumbo has been delighting audiences for two decades. He has been a highly effective Master of Ceremonies for the Chief Strategy Officer Conferences in Asia. Other recent speaking engagements include The American Chamber of Commerce HK, The British Chamber of Commerce HK, HR Summit, Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Conference in Beijing, Canadian Chamber of Commerce HK, and MBA Career Services & Employers Alliance Global & Asia Conferences.

Extracurricular Achievements

Mr. Palumbo graduated with a Marketing Degree from York University and has an MBA (Organizational Behaviour) from the Schulich School of Business. He is a FCPA and has professional Corporate Director credentials in North America and Asia (C. Dir & MHKIoD). He is certified in Extended DISC®, EQi, CareerLeader Assessments and is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. He has led many professional committees (HR, Audit, Governance and Merger) and was Board Chair for one of Canada’s largest and most effective charities. He is a member of CPA Canada HK Chapter Professional Development Committee and AmCham HK Human Resources Action Group.
